Dandan Dad: who writes and corrects this blog
Every article on Dandan Life is chosen, checked against its sources and kept up to date by one person. This page explains who that is and how the articles are made.
01Who is Dandan Dad?
A personal blogger in Toronto, Canada, balancing work and parenting. torontodadlife.com began as a journal about parenting, fitness and learning to invest. As notes from using AI tools between work and family piled up, AI tech notes became the heart of the blog in September 2026, focused on what you need to check before choosing and using an AI tool.
“Dandan Dad” is a pen name. This is an independent personal blog, not an official outlet or support channel of any AI company. Any sponsorship or affiliate relationship is disclosed in the article it affects.
02What I write about
When a new model ships, company claims and independent evaluations are read separately, with the prices, limits and conditions you need to judge fit.
What permissions to give AI and where a person should review its work.
Tokens, embeddings, RAG and other confusing concepts, explained with illustrations and hands-on tools.
Plan-by-plan usage limits and prices, checked against official sources every week.
03How each article is made
- Start from a real decision. Topics come from questions readers actually face, such as which plan to pick or how much to hand to an AI.
- Read the original first. Official announcements, documentation and price pages come first, and the date they were checked is stated. Independent evaluations, news and user reports are kept separate and linked.
- Say what kind of article it is. Public-source explainer, analysis of other people’s cases, or hands-on record. Hands-on articles include the date, account or region conditions, inputs, results and failures.
- Use AI as an assistant. AI tools help with drafts, explanatory figures, code for the interactive tools and line editing. Facts are checked against sources, not AI answers, and the editor reviews and decides what gets published.
- Write in two languages. Each topic is written separately in Korean and English, and a fix to one version is applied to the other.
- Keep correcting after publishing. When prices or policies change, or an error is reported, the related articles are updated and material changes are logged in the corrections record.
